ELIZABETH CHAN

Senior Principal Physiotherapist, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Ms Elizabeth Chan is a Senior Principal Physiotherapist specialising in lymphoedema management in KK Women’s and Children's Hospital, Singapore. She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Master of Science in Cancer Care and has been practising in the area of lymphoedema after previously completing her decongestive therapy certification in 2007 and more recently, the Fluoroscopy Guided Manual Lymph Drainage certification by the Lymphoedema Training Academy. She has a special interest in lymphoedema and was previously awarded the Singapore Cancer Society Research Grant in 2014, completing a study and publication in the Journal of Lymphoedema on the experience of Singaporean women with breast and gynaecological cancer living with lymphoedema.

CHAN MEI YOKE

Senior Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Adj Assoc Prof Chan Mei Yoke graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1987 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She trained in Paediatrics and obtained her Masters of Medicine (Paediatrics) from the Postgraduate Medical School in National University of Singapore in 1992. She obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) (London) in 1994. From 1993 to 1997, she trained in Paediatric Haematology/Oncology in Royal Marsden Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, United Kingdom. She has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health (FRCPCH) since 2010. She has also been a Specialist in Palliative Medicine since 2010. Her special interests in paediatric haematology/oncology include the setting up of holistic care for children with cancer and other chronic life-limiting illnesses, which encompasses palliative and hospice care. She has a keen interest in clinical ethics. Adj Assoc Prof Chan is currently Senior Consultant in Paediatric Haematology/Oncology and Paediatric Palliative Service in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adjunct Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, and the Duke-NUS Medical School. She is also currently the Chairman of the Hospital Ethics Committee.

SIVANATHAN CHANDRAMOHAN

Senior Consultant, Singapore General Hospital

Dr Sivanathan graduated from Madras medical college, India and did his basic surgical training in Mersey Deanery, UK and obtained MRCS. Following which he completed radiology training Dundee before being appointed as consultant in Interventional radiology in Glasgow teaching hospitals. After 8 years as a consultant in NHS UK, Dr Sivanathan joined SGH as a Senior Consultant in Interventional Radiology in 2016. His subspeciality interests include vascular and paediatric interventions. Vascular anomalies treatment is an integral part of both. He has been treating patients with vascular malformation for over 13 years.

EMILY GAN

Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Dr Emily Gan Yiping graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2007 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours. She was awarded the Ministry of Health Training Scholarship in 2009 and embarked on postgraduate training in Dermatology. In 2014, she completed her Dermatology training at the National Skin Centre, graduating as the top candidate in the specialist exit exams. In 2015, Dr Gan completed a 1-year fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology and Pigmentary Disorders at Hôpital St-Andre and Hôpital Pellegrin des Enfants in Bordeaux, France as well as at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

On her return to Singapore, she worked at the National Skin Centre, running General dermatology, Paediatric dermatology, Pigmentary Disorders clinics and the Cellular grafting service for vitiligo. She then joined the Dermatology service at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in 2018, where she now runs both Paediatric dermatology and Women’s dermatology clinics. She is also a visiting consultant at the Department of Dermatology, Singapore General Hospital, with clinics in general dermatology and pigmentary disorders.

APOORVA GOGNA

Senior Consultant Radiologist, Singapore General Hospital

Dr Apoorva Gogna is Senior Consultant Interventional Radiologist in the Department of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Singapore General Hospital. Dr Gogna completed undergraduate medical training in the National University of Singapore and received advanced fellowship training at the Dotter Interventional Institute in Portland, Oregon, USA and at the National Cancer Center Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. Dr Gogna has received extensive training in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology across the whole spectrum of disorders ranging from paediatric, womenʼs, vascular, endocrine and oncology. He has an interest in interventional oncology, management of peripheral vascular malformations, lymphatic disorders and endocrine disorders (such as hyperparathyroidism, adrenal disorders, thyroid disease). He serves as Director for Interventional Radiology Clinical trials and medical devices in the Radiological Sciences Academic Clinical Program. He is principal investigator or co-investigator in multiple trials. In his spare time, he loves swimming and running. Once we are free of COVID-19, he will continue attempting to snowboard all the major global ski resorts.

VALERIE HO

Consultant Paediatrician, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Dr Valerie Ho is a consultant paediatrician, practicing in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Dermatology. Her area of interests and research are in vascular anomalies and birthmarks, hair and nail disorders, atopic dermatitis and genodermatoses. She is actively involved in clinical education as teaching faculty of NUS, Duke-NUS and LKC medical schools. She is part of the KKH multi-disciplinary vascular anomalies team.

HARTIRATHPAL KAUR

Consultant, Singapore General Hospital

Dr Hartirathpal is a Consultant with the Department of Haematology at Singapore General Hospital as well as Blood Services Group, Health Sciences Authority. She is currently a part of the multidisciplinary team of doctors that manages patients with vascular anomalies at Singapore General Hospital.

MARK KOH

Head and Senior Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Dr. Mark Koh is a dermatologist, paediatric dermatologist and dermatopathologist. He is head and senior consultant of Dermatology Service, KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital, as well as visiting consultant at Singapore General Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital & National Cancer Centre. His sub-specialty interests in paediatric dermatology include atopic dermatitis, genodermatoses, vascular anomalies and histiocytic disorders. His other sub-specialty interests include cutaneous lymphoma and skin cancer syndromes. Dr. Koh is an Associate Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Nanyang Technological University Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He is also a senior clinical lecturer at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin Medical School. He is the secretary general of the Asian Society of Pediatric Dermatology.

LEE YORK TIEN

Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Dr Lee is a paediatric surgeon in KKH, specializing in general paediatric surgery and paediatric surgical oncology. He is also one of the regular member of KKH Multi-Disciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic.

GALE LIM

Head and Senior Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Dr Gale Lim Jue Shuang is currently the Head and Senior Consultant for the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery, KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital (KKH).

Her passion for Paediatric Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and paediatric burns management landed her a fellowship in the Hospital for Sick Children in Canada from 2012 – 2013.

Dr Lim participated actively in providing education, having volunteered to give lectures and facilitate courses. She assisted in the production of the instructional video for the microsurgical courses. Dr Lim also contributed to an article on Paediatric Burns in a local parenting magazine, “Today’s Parents” in the April/May 2014 issue and wrote another article, “Ouch It’s Hot!” on paediatric burn injury in the May – June 2014 issue of “Special Delivery”, an internal KKH publication.

WINSTON LIM

Senior Consultant, Singapore General Hospital

Dr Winston Lim studied locally at the National University of Singapore, graduating in 1985. After obtaining his fellowship in Radiology he went on to sub-specialise in Neuroradiology and Neurointervention in Oxford UK in 1996, returning to establish the Neurointerventional service at the Singapore General Hospital.

 

He is currently employed at the Singapore General Hospital, having been there since he qualified as a radiologist and is the current Deputy Head (Academic). He is also Associate Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore and the  Programme Director for the Singhealth Diagnostic Radiology Residency Programme .

 

Dr Lim holds concurrent appointments as Visiting Consultant at the National Heart Centre, Changi General Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, National Neuroscience Institute and National University Hospital.

 

Dr Lim was President of Singapore Radiological Society (2006 – 2009), and served in the Executive committee of the  Asian Oceanian Society of  Radiology till 2016  and is a member of the WFITN and AAFITN.

HENRY TAN

Senior Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

A/Prof Henry Tan currently holds the position of Senior Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist at KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Department of Otolaryngology, with a keen interest in pediatric otorhinolaryngology and complex airway management. He is also the main implant surgeon in KKH for cochlear implant and brain stem implant (in collaboration with neuro surgeon)

He graduated from The University of New South Wales in Australia and  Royal College of Surgeon in London. He did his fellowship in Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago and Harvard Medical School in Boston.

A/Prof Henry Tan has published widely with more than 60 publications. Prof Tan has exceptional contributions to clinical work that has impact on safety and quality of patient care. He has also demonstrated leadership in his field of specialty and actively engages in training junior staff and peers in the area of service excellence.

TANG PHUA HWEE

Senior Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Dr Tang is a paediatric radiologist, a graduate of the National University of Singapore.  After obtaining her FRCR and Masters in Diagnostic Radiology, she spent 6 months in University of California San Francisco learning the finer points of paediatric imaging. She has also done a mini-fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Centre and a visiting fellowship at Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. She has completed the Khoo Clinical Scholar’s Program and current conducts research on ways to optimise imaging for paediatric patients. Her projects have garnered awards at local and international conferences.  

Dr Tang is actively involved in education and is Core Faculty on the SingHealth Diagnostic Radiology Residency Programme, having achieved awards for Residency Education.

TING TECK WAH

Dr Ting Teck Wah is a Consultant at the Genetics Service, Department of Paediatrics, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). Dr Ting graduated from the National University of Singapore and completed training in paediatric medicine in KKH. He specialises in genetic and metabolic disorders and general paediatric conditions. Besides clinical work, Dr Ting is actively involved in education in his capacity as Adjunct Assistant Professor with Duke-NUS Medical School and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

LYNETTE WEE

Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Dr Lynette Wee is a consultant at the General Paediatrics Service and Dermatology Service at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, as well as visiting consultant at Sengkang General Hospital. Her subspecialty interests in paediatric dermatology include atopic dermatitis, genodermatosis and vascular anomalies. Dr Wee is Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke- NUS Medical School, Adjunct Instructor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, as well as Clinical Tutor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. She is also an EXCO member of the Asian Society of Pediatric Dermatology, as well as treasurer for Rare Skin Conditions Society Singapore.

KENNETH WONG

Consultant, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Dr Kenneth Wong Pak Leung is a Consultant at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

Dr Wong received his medical degree from the National University of Ireland in 2007. He completed his specialist training under the Singhealth Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Programme in 2017.

Dr Sharon Wong is a Senior Consultant in the General Paediatrics Service at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore.

JUSTINE XUE

Clinical Psychologist, KK Women's and Children's Hospital

Justine is a registered clinical psychologist. She completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) in Australia. Since then, she has worked with children and adolescents in community and hospital settings. Her present role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to support children and their families in coping with chronic medical conditions and mental health issues.
